Courtney Blackford

Courtney Blackford is the Director of Sales & Marketing at the Residence Inn by Marriott Ocean City, where she specializes in group sales, corporate travel, extended-stay accommodations, and building meaningful community partnerships. A graduate of Salisbury University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Courtney grew up on Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay in Queen Anne’s County. She is active in theater and voice-over arts and proudly serves as Vice President of the Executive Board for the Art League of Ocean City. Passionate about supporting local businesses and nonprofits, Courtney enjoys creating connections that strengthen the community. She previously chaired Ocean City’s Hotel Sales & Marketing Partnership for the tourism department, helping strengthen collaboration within the local tourism industry, and currently chairs the Art League’s Resource Development and the annual pARTy of the Year planning committees. The Residence Inn is an active member of the Maryland Tourism Coalition, and Courtney was named New Professional of the Year in 2019 by the MTC board, shortly after the hotel opened in 2018. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, camping, cooking, early morning workouts, and spending time with her husband and their two children, ages 9 and 12, whom she happily chauffeurs to their many activities.
