David Botscheller

Dave is an Architect and Practice Area Leader of Hospitality at Becker Morgan Group, where he has spent the past 13 years designing spaces that make people want to stay a while. Fitting, perhaps, for someone whose own path took him from Scranton, PA to Ocean City, MD shortly after college and never looked back.

Beyond the drafting table, Dave has built a career around showing up for his community across an array of committees. Most notable being the past co-chair of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals for six years and the Young Leadership Liaison for the Eastern Shore Leadership Institute for two years. He currently chairs the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals, proving that “young professional” is less an age bracket and more a lifestyle commitment.

A proud resident of Ocean Pines, Dave lives with his wife, Valerie, and their two furballs who undoubtedly run the household. When he’s not planning for his clients’ successes or sharpening his business development skills, he’s likely either at the front row of a concert crowd, on a plane to a new travel destination, testing his patience on the golf course, or acting as the executive chef of his household kitchen—a title he awarded himself but defends admirably.

Dave brings to the Foundation Board the same combination of design sensibility, community investment, and good-natured persistence that has defined his career on the Eastern Shore, along with a genuine stake in Ocean City’s continued growth as both a place to work and a place to call home.
